Greetings, followers, and thanks for your interest in reading what I have written.
The original intent of this blog was to publicize the developing "new radicalism" that addresses the growing problem of long-standing poverty, and particularly that which plagues our neighbors to the south; Mexico and Central America.
My own interest in the plight of those poor people evolved over the last two years or so, and was booted into action and out of thinking when I learned of little Florencio's death from hunger in rural Honduras while exploring Flickr for photos of that country.
The compassionate side of my character has come into bloom in these times, the fall and winter of my life, and I have decided to roll my commentary on the new radicalism into my sister blog, http://compassionate-jim.blogspot.com, where it will find a thematically natural home.
I will do this by the end of this week, and ask that you continue your following in that venue. The current commentary on 10 reasons to participate in the new radicalism will be moved straight away, and Radical Jim will either close or lie dormant for the time being!
